SECURITY AND CONTROL:
The JEMStar II includes comprehensive security features that protect revenue and energy data. Built‑in, DLMS protocol support requires a client ID and password for access and provides three account levels with different permission sets. Communications on the Revenue Meter are password protected to prevent unauthorized access and Ethernet connections can be restricted to select IP addresses. Audit logs record all access attempts including meter connections, configuration changes, firmware updates and data access along with user identification and time and date stamps for every event. Audit logs are permission‑based and cannot be modified or deleted from the meter ensuring full traceability and compliance. Physical security is enhanced with alarms that are activated when the terminal cover or access door is opened. For expanded monitoring and alarm capabilities, configurable email notifications can be sent for events such as triggers, battery status, time synchronizations and more.
